One of the most important features of spoken English is syllable stress. english has stressed and unstressed syllables and unstressed syllables are often reduced, this means that the sound 
is ( uh ) or ( ih ) { Usually 'uh' }

Words with more than one syllable will often have reduced syllables. This makes resource syllables very common.

Example:


a. Because [Buh CAUSE]
b. Medical [MEH duh cul]
c. Polite [puh LITE]
d. Aerobic [uh RO buc]
e. Arabic [AR uh buc]
